在位于甘肃省省会兰州南部的甘南地区，以及天水南部的陇南地区，到处都洋溢着浓郁的丝绸之路风情。由于这里观光旅游业的发展长期处于初始阶段，因此至今仍保留着原生态的自然环境，四处洋溢着浓郁的民族风情，是尚未开发的一处纯净旅游资源。这里居住着世世代代崇拜神秘而又神圣的藏族文化和信仰的人们，拥有众多充满独特文化氛围的藏族寺院，还有那延伸到天边的广阔草原，这些便就是“甘南”的魅力所在。而陇南地区，则是位于甘南的东部，西部与陕西省、南部与四川省相接壤。虽然地处青藏高原的边缘地区，但周边被秦岭山脉、青藏高原、黄土高原、汉中盆地、四川盆地所环抱，被称为“秦陇锁钥，巴蜀咽喉”，素有“陇上江南”的美誉。这里的自然环境优美、地貌俊秀、风光秀丽、景色如画，还有被成为“小九寨沟”的官鹅沟等景区。在几乎所有的旅游攻略等中，对该地区的介绍并不多，是现存为数不多的一处天然秘境。随着近几年来酒店、道路、铁路、景点等旅游基础设施建设的开展，正在日趋成为令外国游客向往的高人气旅游胜地。

Here there are people who have worshipped the mysterious and sacred Tibetan culture and beliefs for generations. The scattered Tibetan monasteries have a rich and unique culture. Vast grasslands stretch to the horizon. These are the charms of Gannan. Located to the east of Gannan, Longnan borders Shaanxi Province to the west and Sichuan Province to the south. On the edge of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, it is also surrounded by the Qinling Mountains, the Loess Plateau, the Hanzhong Basin, and the Sichuan Basin. It was once called “Qinlong Key, Bashu Throat”, and was also often referred to as The Jiangnan of Gansu. The natural scenery is beautiful, a complicated landscape with many scenic spots, such as Guan’egou National Forest Park, also known as Little Jiuzhai Valley. This region is rarely mentioned in travel guidebooks, and it is one of the wonders of nature in the world yet to be explored. With the recent development of tourism infrastructure, namely hotels, roads, railroads and scenic spots, it is now coming into its own as a luxury vacation resort location, attracting foreign visitors.
